A hearty, bubbling dish filled with cheesy ground beef, crispy bacon, and topped with all your favorite burger fixings.
Ingredients
Scale:
1 pound ground beef
4 slices bacon, chopped
1 medium onion, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup tomato sauce
1/2 cup BBQ sauce
2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
1/2 cup pickles, chopped (optional)
1 tablespoon chili powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
2 cups potato chips, crushed (for topping)
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the chopped bacon until crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels.
In the same skillet, add the ground beef, diced onion, and minced garlic. Cook until the beef is browned and the onions are translucent, approximately 7-10 minutes. Drain excess fat.
Stir in the tomato sauce, BBQ sauce, chili powder, salt, and pepper. Let this simmer for 5 minutes to meld the flavors.
Remove from heat and stir in 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese and the crispy bacon.
Transfer the mixture into a greased baking dish (9x13 inches) and spread it evenly.
Sprinkle the remaining cheese on top, followed by the crushed potato chips for added crunch.
Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
Let it cool for about 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with chopped pickles if desired.
