A warm, comforting drink that combines the essence of traditional apple crisp with the smooth richness of an oatmeal milk latte.
Ingredients
Scale:
1/2 cup Rolled oats
1 cup Water
1 medium Apple (peeled and diced)
1/2 teaspoon Cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon Nutmeg
2 tablespoons Maple syrup
1 cup Oat milk
1/2 teaspoon Vanilla extract
Optional toppings (e.g., crushed nuts, extra cinnamon) as desired
Instructions
In a medium saucepan, combine the rolled oats and water. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking.
Once boiling, reduce heat to low and simmer for about 5 minutes, or until the oats are creamy and have absorbed most of the water.
Add the diced apple, cinnamon, nutmeg, and maple syrup to the oats. Stir and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, allowing the apples to soften slightly.
While the oats are cooking, heat the oat milk in a separate pot over medium heat, whisking continuously to create a frothy texture. You can also use a milk frother for this step.
Once the oat milk is warmed and frothy, remove it from the heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
To serve, divide the apple and oatmeal mixture into two mugs. Pour the frothed oat milk over the top, allowing it to blend with the oats.
Top with optional toppings like crushed nuts or a sprinkle of cinnamon, and enjoy your cozy Apple Crisp Oatmeal Milk Latte!
