A vibrant and colorful salad combining sweetness of ripe watermelon and strawberries with creaminess of fresh mozzarella, drizzled with balsamic glaze.
Ingredients
Scale:
4 cups of seedless watermelon, cut into bite-sized cubes
2 cups of fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
8 ounces of fresh mozzarella, cut into bite-sized pieces or mozzarella balls
1/4 cup of fresh basil leaves, torn or chopped
2 tablespoons of balsamic glaze
1 tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
Start by preparing the watermelon and strawberries. In a large mixing bowl, combine the watermelon cubes and sliced strawberries.
Add the fresh mozzarella to the bowl, gently mixing to combine without breaking the cheese.
Sprinkle the torn basil leaves over the salad.
In a small bowl, whisk together the balsamic glaze, olive oil, salt, and pepper.
Drizzle the dressing over the watermelon, strawberries, and mozzarella. Gently toss the salad to ensure everything is evenly coated.
Transfer the salad to a serving dish or individual bowls.
Serve immediately, or let it chill in the refrigerator for about 10-15 minutes.
