A simple, savory solution that not only cuts down on prep time but also delivers a hearty meal your whole family will love.
Ingredients
Scale:
1 pound Ground beef
2 medium Potatoes (any type, diced)
1 cup Bell peppers (sliced)
1 medium Onion (sliced)
1 teaspoon Garlic powder
1 teaspoon Salt
1/2 teaspoon Black pepper
2 tablespoons Olive oil
1 cup Shredded cheese (optional)
For garnish Fresh herbs (parsley or chives, optional)
Instructions
Begin by prepping your slow cooker. Lightly grease it with cooking spray or a touch of olive oil to prevent sticking.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, diced potatoes, sliced bell peppers, sliced onion, olive oil, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until everything is evenly coated.
Cut large pieces of heavy-duty aluminum foil, about 12 inches long. Place a generous portion of the mixture in the center of each foil piece, creating a packet.
Fold the foil over the mixture, pinching the edges to seal tightly. Make sure the packets are well-sealed to keep the steam inside.
Place the foil packets in the slow cooker. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until the potatoes are tender and the ground beef is thoroughly cooked.
Once done, carefully unwrap the packets (watch for steam!). Top with shredded cheese if desired, and garnish with fresh herbs before serving.
