These bite-sized treats combine the rich, creamy flavor of peanut butter with a crunchy, chocolate coating, creating a delightful experience for your taste buds.
Ingredients
Scale:
1 cup creamy peanut butter
2 cups powdered sugar
1 cup crushed Butterfinger bars (about 4-5 bars)
2 cups chocolate chips (semi-sweet or milk chocolate)
1 tablespoon shortening (or coconut oil)
Instructions
In a large mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of creamy peanut butter and 2 cups of powdered sugar. Mix until fully combined and the mixture is smooth. If it's too crumbly, add a little more peanut butter.
Fold in 1 cup of crushed Butterfinger bars until evenly distributed throughout the mixture.
Using your hands, shape the mixture into 1-inch balls and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet. You should have about 20 balls. Refrigerate for 30 minutes to firm them up.
While the peanut butter balls are chilling, melt 2 cups of chocolate chips with 1 tablespoon of shortening in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until smooth and fully melted.
Once chilled, dip each peanut butter ball into the melted chocolate, ensuring they are fully coated. Use a fork to lift them out, letting the excess chocolate drip off, and return them to the baking sheet.
Refrigerate the chocolate-covered Butterfinger Balls for at least 30 minutes, or until the chocolate is set. Serve chilled or at room temperature.
