This BBQ wings recipe combines an easy wing marinade with a homemade tangy BBQ sauce, enhancing the natural flavors of the chicken. By marinating the wings, you ensure they soak up every ounce of flavor. The technique of baking or grilling until crispy is crucial, giving you wings that are not only delicious but also perfectly textured.
Ingredients
Scale:
2 pounds Chicken wings
2 tablespoons Olive oil
1 teaspoon Salt
1 teaspoon Pepper
1 teaspoon Garlic powder
1 teaspoon Onion powder
1 cup BBQ sauce
2 tablespoons Honey
Instructions
Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 375°F) or preheat your oven to 425°F.
In a large bowl, combine the chicken wings, olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Toss until the wings are evenly coated.
If using the oven, place the wings on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 40-45 minutes, flipping halfway through, until they are crispy and golden brown.
If grilling, place the wings directly on the grill. Cook for about 20-25 minutes, turning occasionally, until they are cooked through and have nice grill marks.
While the wings are cooking, prepare the BBQ sauce by combining the BBQ sauce and honey in a small saucepan over low heat. Stir until heated through and well combined.
Once the wings are fully cooked, remove them from the grill or oven and toss them in the BBQ sauce until well coated.
Serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauces and enjoy!
