This dessert combines the best of three worlds into a layered delight that tantalizes the taste buds. Rich chocolate brownies serve as the base, layered with velvety cheesecake filling, fresh bananas, and a generous dollop of whipped cream.
Ingredients
Scale:
1 box brownie mix (typically 18.3 oz)
2 large eggs
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1/4 cup water
8 oz cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup heavy cream
2 large bananas, sliced
Chocolate syrup for drizzling
Whipped cream topping for garnishing
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Prepare a 9x9 inch baking pan by greasing it lightly.
In a mixing bowl, combine the brownie mix, eggs, vegetable oil, and water. Stir until just combined, being careful not to overmix.
Pour the brownie batter into the prepared pan and spread it evenly. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Allow it to cool completely.
While the brownies are cooling, prepare the cheesecake filling. In a separate mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth.
Add the granulated sugar and vanilla extract to the cream cheese. Beat until well combined and fluffy.
In another bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form. Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture until fully incorporated.
Once the brownies are completely cooled, cut them into bite-sized squares.
To assemble the trifle, begin by layering half of the brownie squares at the bottom of a large trifle dish or individual serving glasses.
Add half of the cheesecake filling on top of the brownie layer, followed by half of the sliced bananas.
Repeat the layers with the remaining brownie squares, cheesecake filling, and bananas.
Top the trifle with whipped cream and drizzle with chocolate syrup for a gorgeous finish.
Cover the trifle and refrigerate for at least 2 hours to allow the flavors to meld.
